Day 1

We will land at Marrakech airport around lunchtime, and have a private transfer waiting to take us directly to Aroumd, a charming little village set at 2000m in the Atlas mountains. Aroumd is where we will spend our first night in Morocco. We will have plenty of time on the first afternoon to either chill out in our accommodation and soak in the stunning mountainous surroundings, or have a gentle 30 minute stroll down to Imlil for a look around the local shops. We then take a mule ride back up the valley, via the stunning Imlil waterfalls.

Day 2

After breakfast in Imlil, we will trek to the Toubkal Refuge hut which is at 3200m, where we will stay for the afternoon & night before the summit day. The trek takes around 4 to 6 hours, with plenty of break stops in the locals mountain side refreshment shacks.

Day 3

Summit day - we set off after breakfast for the highest point in North Africa, departing the refuge around 8am. This is where the route starts to get steeper, with the track being a mix of trail, scree, and boulder fields. The route to the summit should take between 4 to 6 hours. After summiting, we will return to the refuge where we will spend the afternoon & night again. We can also have the option of attempting another 4000m+ summit if anyone is feeling very energetic...Toubkal West at 4010m.

A nice easy day of returning back to Imlil, where we will be transported directly in to Marrakech. We will have an evening celebratory meal in a rooftop restaurant over looking the bustling souks (markets) as the sun sets across the town. Home for the final night will be in a Riad, a traditional Moroccan hotel.
